Our programs and using adventure as a catalyst to better the people and places we visit along the way!

A sense of place
Our programs are designed to cultivate place based learning. We allow our interactions with nature become an opportunity to understand our selves and the environment on a deeper level. Under the stars and on top of the peaks, we’ll explore our outdoor classroom.

Austin is a certified climbing guide through the AMGA (American Mountain Guiding Association).

Dates: July 25-27
The BBP Climbing team will meet at 9 am from BBP and take off into the hills! Students do not need any technical equipment, though if they have climbing and camping gear, we recommend they bring it. Scouts do not need any prior climbing or camping experience.
This camp will focus on the basics of sport climbing in our backyard! Rumney NH. We will be camping at the lovely D’Acres and climbing for three days with this crew!
Day 1, July 25th: Camping under the stars
The Adventure Scouts will meet at 9 am at BBP in Somerville and take off into the hills!
As a group, we will load up the vans and head out for our first day of adventuring. We’ll stop for a bathroom break across the NH border, then adjourn to the farm to settle in. We explore the park With Josh Throat.
Afterward, we’ll set up camp on the farm and then catch some afternoon climbing at the low-hanging crags.
We return stoked that evening and ready for a full day tomorrow.
Day 2, July 26th:
The team wakes up to a fantastic breakfast on D’Acres, then take off to go climbing at Rumney for the day! Hanging out with the team climbing sport routes on a beautiful summer day… what’s not to love.
Snack and lunch break at the swimming hole before returning to D’Acres to muck around on the farm.
Evening permaculture lessons with Josh Trouth and an evening around the bonfire!
Day 3, July 27th:
This morning we hit the projects we didn’t finish and explore some more classics in the forest. ! We ride around D’Acres trails for the morning before taking lunch on the farm.
We leave for the South Shore at 3 PM returning home around 6 PM for a Thursday dinner with the family!
