All of our programs are set up to support our sustainable initiatives world wide. Whether it’s planting trees or providing access to clean drinking water – the money raised from this fund is quite literally spreading the roots for positive impact. Our programs and using adventure as a catalyst to bettering the people and places we visit along the way!
At Soulstainable we believe that financial status shouldn’t be a barrier to opportunity. As a part of our commitment to equity in the outdoors we’re offering indexed rates for all of youth programs.Email LeeKrieger@soulstainable.com for the payment option that’s right for your family!
A sense of place
Our programs are designed to cultivate place based learning. We allow our interactions with nature become an opportunity to understand our selves and the environment on a deeper level. Under the stars and on top of the peaks, we’ll explore our outdoor classroom.

Students will take the train from LA to SD. Welcome meeting. We’ll get everyone settled at the accommodation before walking over to the beach to watch the sunset. Pizza party night. We’ll eat pizzan and get some rest in preparation for our week of adventures.
Wake up in sunny San Diego. We’ll head out for a morning surf with instructor and sponsored surfer Owen Lysaught. We’ll surf until lunch then take a break to eat and get out of the sun. In the late afternoon we’ll drive over to Mission Gorge for an intro to rock climbing lesson led by Climbing Instructor Austin O’Brien.
This morning we’re headed into the mountains. We’ll drive to Idyllwild – about 2 hours and 20 minutes North East of San Diego. Arrive in the afternoon, set up camp and do a short sunset hike. We’ll provide all the camping gear – participants should bring a sleeping bag and pad.
Today we’ll explore the rock formations that make Idyllwild famous. We’ll do a morning hike before spending the rest of the afternoon at the rock climbing site – Tahquitz. Tahquitz is a popular feature with rock climbers, as the numerous granite outcroppings, including conspicuous Lily Rock, below the peak have attracted climbing enthusiasts for over 80 years.
We’ll have a celebratory breakfast and some morning activities before packing up and heading to LA. Students can be picked up from the Rosebowl around 2:30PM.
