Arrival in Split
Accommodations and transfers are all set and ready. We will ensure you have all the appropriate meeting points if you are already in-country. For those of you arriving late in the evening, no stress; everything will be ready to welcome you in!
Day 1: Exploring Split
Wake up in Split and enjoy breakfast while we meet the guides and crew. Enjoy a day in this ancient roman city via a bike ride around the park Marjon and a historical tour. This walkabout is of the old city and Diocletian’s Palace. We’ll take a short walk to local markets to prepare for the next few days of exploration.
In the afternoon, we will climb the cliff walls of Split, overlooking the ocean. Today will be a fun warm-up to this incredible style of climbing. Soulstainable will host a dinner with a detailed rundown of the coming days.
Day 2: Off to The Islands
We’ll rise early and get packed up for the ferry to the island of Hvar. This island is known for its wine, olive oil, lavender, and, most recently, fantastic climbing over the Adriatic Sea.
After the ferry, we settle into our apartment and enjoy the ocean views before meeting with the group.
In the late afternoon, we will set up some top ropes for you to get to know the climbing. Enjoy the rock faces above the scenic cliffs of the Adriatic Sea. Tonight Soulstainble will host a group dinner Croatian style.
Day 3: Climbing & Wine
Today, we will spend all day on the rock walls above these turquoise waters. We’ll break down the basics and start the workshop on improving sport climbing technical skills. Making sure everyone is climbing securely, we will begin to get some mileage and routes under our belt!
In the evening, we’ll join local winemaker Miro underground for a tour of the Plavac wine cave. Enjoy tapas and find out why Croatian wine is world-famous.
Day 4: Workshop Continued!
The workshop continues! The group dives into our second full day of the workshop. If you need a break from climbing in the afternoon, we have beautiful hike options or simply hanging out reading, swimming, and chilling!
Day 5: Final Climbing Day!
Wake up and enjoy some good coffee and breakfast. Final climbing lessons, critiques, and feedback with a few new skills under your belt (harness). We leave this course with a complete understanding and breakdown of sport climbing while identifying areas to work into competency.
We enjoy our final evening in Svedjna Nedlijia with a team dinner and SCW Jeopardy! A fan favorite.
Day 6: Rest Day adventure and the return to Split.
The group heads to Hvar town after brekky and fond farewells. In Hvar town, we will explore the ancient Venetian fort and the now-busting town of Hvar, the island’s namesake.
In the evening, we will take the ferry back to Split. After checking in to our final night’s accommodation, we’ll host a farewell dinner for the group and then go out downtown Split. This is the last official day of the trip. Whether you’re leaving early the next morning or staying a few more days, we’re happy to help you set up the logistics!
