The BBP Climbing team will meet at 8 am from BBP and take off to the park! Students do not need any technical equipment, though if they have climbing and camping gear, we recommend they bring it. Scouts do not need any prior climbing or camping experience.

This camp will focus on the basics of climbing in our backyard! Acadia NP in Maine. We will be camping in the park and climbing and adventuring for 4 days with this crew!

Day 1, August 21st: Camping under the stars

The Adventure Scouts will meet at 8 am at BBP in Somerville and take off to the park!

As a group, we will load up the vans and head out for our first day of adventuring. We’ll stop for a bathroom break across the NH border, then adjourn to the camp ground and settle in. We explore the park and have some camp activities that evening!

We return stoked that evening and ready for a full day tomorrow.

Day 2, August 22nd:

The team wakes up to a fantastic camp breakfast, then take off to go climbing at Otter Cliffs for the day! Hanging out with the team climbing routes on a beautiful summer day… what’s not to love.

Snack and lunch break at the beach before returning to camp to decompress from a day of climbing.

Evening briefs and goals check in around the campfire!

Day 3, August 23rd:

This morning we hit the Precipice and explore some more classics in the forest!

The precipice has some of the best climbing in the park and will be reviered by the kiddos!
